SCIENCE FAIR PROJECT GUIDEBOOK: This publication, created in partnership between the S.C. Department of Health and Environment Control's Office of Solid Waste Recycling and the S.C. Energy Office, provides instructions for creating projects that focus on recycling, energy, water conservation, air quality and more.

School Recycling Programs:

The S.C. Department of Health & Environmental Control's Office of Solid Waste Reduction & Recycling has created a guide that offers information on starting and expanding school recycling programs. From determining what items to recycle to tracking your programs, the "Starting a School Recycling Program: A Step-by-step Guide to Help You Begin Recycling at Your School" will provide the information you need.

Prior to creating a school recycling program, please contact Tim Fox at timfox@tcswa.org to coordinate the logistical requirements for collecting, handling and transporting all recyclables. TCSWA will assist you in creating a custom tailored recycling program for your school.
