Our Mission

The Tri-County Solid Waste Authority's (TCSWA) mission is to promote recycling, waste reduction and responsible disposal of all waste from households, businesses and industry by providing comprehensive, environmentally sound, cost-effective, and technically reliable solid waste management programs for all people living and working within Edgefield, McCormick, and Saluda counties in South Carolina.

What Can I Recycle?


Metal - Aluminum Beverage Cans, Steel and Tin Cans, Aerosol Cans, Scrap Metal, White Goods, Appliances

Plastics -
Soda Bottles, Milk and Water Jugs, Detergent and Shampoo Bottles, Butter Tubs. Look for recycling symbol with a number 1 and/or 2. NO plastic bags, shrink wrap, deli or microwaveable trays

Cardboard -
Corrugated cardboard, cereal, cracker, cookie boxes, beverage holders, pizza boxes, NO Wax-Coated produce or meat boxes

Newspaper/Mixed Paper - Newspaper, Junk mail, office paper, magazines, inserts. Please remove all plastic bags Click here for more recyclable materials
